Job description
The Director of Sales Operations will partner with the Managing Directors to help in the development of Account Managers and Mentors to support the Sales PATH (SRP, Sales Orientation, and PATH to $200) so that the Company can develop more successful salespeople. This role will work as a hands-on facilitator working with salespeople and coaching MDs to help implement a consistent sales strategy. The Director of Sales Operations will also work to achieve quicker recruiter to sales results and better retention.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act in partnership to the MDs to coach and help in the development of Account Managers and mentors to develop more successful salespeople.
- Provide hands-on support and coaching to all new salespeople upon graduation from our Sales Development Programs.
- Communicate in a manner that supports the MDs, VPs, and the leaders of complex SDPs’ efforts in sales development, and maintains consistent messaging across portfolios, accounts, and geos as well as support of the D&A programs.
- Provide regular analytics and reports to the MDs, VPs and VP of Sales Operations on activities, challenges, and progress for all Account Managers that graduate from SRP And Sales Orientation Training.
- Make data driven assessments and recommendations based upon what is discovered in the field to help us improve the operational effectiveness of our MDs, VPs, and complex SDP leaders, with a particular focus on the efforts that ultimately helps lead to promoting more salespeople faster and ensuring a greater percentage of them being successful.
- Act as an outside reference to ensure that the core MD operational best practices are happening in a consistent manner. These are (but not limited to): Weekly BDP meetings; weekly individual MD cadence for AM 1-1 meetings; shadowing client visits; assisting in the reading and interpretation of core reports to help drive and formulate development plans for the individual and office.
- Work closely with VP of Leadership Development and VP of Sales Operations to help develop sales training on needed sales skills and platform sales training for VPs and certain MDs, as appropriate.
- Investigate and stay current on the competition’s methods and practices for sales development and communicate those findings on a regular basis to leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Subject matter expert in sales, having experienced many different situations and can be called upon to help
- Has successfully sold locally and broken a variety of accounts
- Has successfully mentored others
- Understand how sales is a process and follows our organization's Sales Process
- Detail-oriented and able to break Sales down into individual parts
- Knows sales Nomenclature and business terminology
- Disciplined, consistent and well organized

- Excellent communication skills, having the ability to present current state and recommendations to leadership
- Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner
- Minimum of 8 years of sales experience
