Director of Marketing Operations

 

Position Summary:

This position will be responsible for overseeing the operations for the marketing division for our global organization. More specifically, this leader will manage the marketing workflows, tools, vendors and processes to support the division’s goal of increasing brand awareness, customer acquisition and retention, and demand generation across the enterprise.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in marketing operations management and a successful track record in working cross-functionally with many different team members to understand KPIs, establish best practices, ensure quality control, and drive reporting and analytics. You will also oversee project management for key marketing projects, own the company’s marketing data, manage tools and vendors and will continuously look to optimize processes to drive more efficiency and effectiveness of marketing programs.

 

Essential Job Functions:

Establish and/or improve on existing processes, systems, and approaches that ensure best practices across the division.

Evaluate new technologies and tools to improve and optimize marketing team performance.

Create and execute marketing policies, procedures and workflows.

Manage large marketing projects and facilitates the progress of key initiatives and deliverables.

Oversee vendor selection, contracts/SOWs and relationship management

Collect and analyze key customer insights, data and analytics for leadership team.

Manage technical aspects of key marketing systems used to generate, distribute, and report on leads.

Oversee external promotional vendors performance, selection and reporting.

Manage event marketing, including industry events, trade shows, and conferences.

Lead budget management process for marketing and ensure adherence to targets.

Support the development of project goals, ROI and KPIs for marketing projects.

Lead the annual and quarterly marketing planning process for the division.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

Marketing Leadership

Serve as a key member of the marketing leadership team to help deliver strategic programs that support enterprise goals and needs.

Manage within the allocated budget and determine the appropriate allocation of resources across all channels, markets, and corporate divisions.

Utilize data in every aspect of program management to include campaign performance and results, engagement, and research-based decision making to justify program refinements and priorities.

 

Experience

10+ years of communications, marketing, or related experience, preferably in professional services.

8+ years of leading large-scale initiatives, driving strategic planning, project scope, change management, stakeholder alignment, and communications.

Experience with data and developing reports/dashboards.

Vendor management and budget management experience.

Traffic and/or project management experience.

Experience working in an advisory capacity with senior leaders.

A successful track record in team management and employee development.

Strong analytical skills and experience with reporting and data analysis.

Proficiency in marketing automation systems and integrating those systems with other technologies.

Proficient in project management.

Technically capable, excellent communicator, and a desire to improve processes.

Demonstrated skill and comfort in proactively building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, top tier reporters and editors, and in successfully positioning subject matter with the media to achieve high impact placements.

Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency with communications technologies and management systems.

Experience working with managing suppliers/vendors.

Experience with data visualization tools and working knowledge of working with project management tools a plus.

Adept at building relationships to lead the work effort of cross functional team members.

Proficient in computer skills- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe programs.

Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to travel (up to 30%)

 

Education

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or related field
