SUMMARY:

The Assistant Project Manager, Facilities will work across Dexian to provide support for new build outs and facilities related projects. They will work with the Director of Real Estate to ensure that office closures and openings go smoothly. Responsibilities include vendor coordination, budget tracking, scheduling, and managing the construction and relocation process from inception to completion.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage project buildout budgets
  • Developing and managing project schedules
  • Works with outside contractors and vendors to ensure construction and renovation projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Attending construction and team meetings
  • Reviewing and approving change orders
  • Monitoring the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis and proving weekly updates to local stakeholders
  • Collaborating with IT department to ensure procurement of IT equipment is accurate and delivered on schedule
  • Reviewing construction documents prior to approval
  • Completing onsite orientation with stakeholders to present new office technology and conduct walk throughs.
  • Coordinates all final close out procedures for the project including as-built drawing, punch lists, final billings, project manuals, and submits documentation for tenant reimbursement requests
  • Ad hoc projects relating to the office portfolio.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Previous experience managing multiple office buildouts and budgets
  • 2-3 years of project management
  • Strong knowledge of computer-based programs including Microsoft Office and excel
  • Experience in interpreting contract documents, specifications, and drafting project schedules
  • Experience understanding construction drawings including, electrical, mechanical, and structural
  • Understanding of IT and AV cabling
  • Experience with MEP within building management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Travel expectation: 6-8 trips per year
