SUMMARY:


Dexian is looking for an experienced and motivated Director, Data and Reporting to join our global team. This person will lead the strategic data management, governance, and compliance initiatives for all of our business segments. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of data management principles, data privacy laws, and the ability to develop effective data governance policies. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • The Director of Data and Reporting will serve Dexian as the primary resource for reporting, data integration and data analysis
  • Assist the CIO running a global IT enterprise with over 70 offices across the global 
  • IN this role you will serve as an organizational leader with a passion for data and analysis who has a clear vision for how data can transform company strategy.
  • Lead the strategic data management, governance, and compliance initiatives for all business segments
  • Develop effective data governance policies and data privacy laws
  • Play a critical role in defining the data architecture and a system design that will guarantee real-time data availability, consistency, and integrity
  • Work with large datasets and advanced analytics
  • Collaborate with other departments and lead data-focused projects
  • Manage and maintain data integrity and security Create and implement data-driven solutions
  • Advise on data-related decisions
  • Stay on top of the emerging trends to drive innovation and improvement
  • Foster a data-driven culture across the organization by promoting data literacy and the use of data-driven decision frameworks
  • Role model and cultivate operational excellence by monitoring and reporting on all key engineering metrics related to data and analytics
  • Be responsible for budgeting within the department and resource planning to meet project objectives
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and developments
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Monitor and report on data quality and compliance Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness


QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate should have:
  • 10 -15+ years of relevant experience in IT data analytics and reporting, with recent professional cross-functional team leadership/management experience
  • PowerBI, Data Analytics, Data Warehouse, MSFT Asure and ETL experience is required for this position
  • Working with large datasets and advanced analytics is highly desirable
  • We are looking for an individual who is a team player, has strong communication skills, and is highly organized
  • This person should also be able to collaborate with other departments and lead data-focused projects
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and developments
  • Proven experience with various data modeling techniques
  • Experience building multi-petabyte data warehouses and understanding of the challenges building analytical solutions for both internal and external customers
  • Understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience building experimentation frameworks
  • This person should also be able to collaborate with other departments and lead data-focused projects
  • and adversarial techniques, as well as the ability to quickly understand complex environments
  • 4-year college degree, preferably in IT Security, Information Systems, Math, Physics or IT related fields
